Florida Crane Owners Council to Conduct Operator Certification Panel Discussion

On Friday, Dec. 7, the FCOC is conducting a one-day panel discussion on OSHA’s new crane operator certification law that becomes effective in November 2014. The panel is open to all crane owners.

This new law is different from all previous crane operator certification requirements and is currently the least understood by crane owners.  This is an opportunity for crane owners to participate with crane industry professionals on this important subject.

The panel of professionals includes:

  • Brian J. Sturtecky CSP, OSHA Area Director, Jacksonville, FL
  • Billy Smith, President of NBIS Claims & Risk Management
  • Debbie Dickinson, Executive Director, Crane Institute Certification (CIC)
  • Graham Brent, Executive Director, NCCCO

FCOC is inviting crane owners to attend the Dec.7 meeting at no charge. The meeting will take place at the Sheraton Suites Hotel, Orlando Airport, and it is scheduled to start around 9:30 am. Lunch will be provided.

Reserve your spot by emailing John Wessel, FCOC managing director, at jwessel86@gmail.com no later than Friday, November 2, 2012.

A special hotel room rate of $89.00 + applicable taxes is available for the night of Dec. 6.  Contact Joyce Manring directly at 407-313-1015 to reserve your hotel room, and mention the Florida Crane Owners Council meeting.
