H&E Hires Vice President of Crane Structural Repair and Remanufacturing

August 7, 2012H&E Equipment Services, Baton Rouge, La., has hired industry veteran Ralf Vieten to serve as vice president of crane structural repairs and remanufacturing. Prior to coming to the United States in 1987, Vieten received his mechanical engineering degree in Germany and now has more than 25 years of experience in the fabrication, remanufacturing, and repair business.   

 

As vice president of crane structural repair and remanufacturing at H&E Equipment Services, Vieten will focus his efforts to further expand and promote H&E’s status as a Manitowoc EnCORE Partner and Manitowoc Crane Care Elite dealer. In addition, he will be responsible for building up the structural repair and remanufacturing operations as H&E expands its capability to remanufacture all makes and models of cranes and like equipment.

 

In 1987, Vieten worked as the plant production manager for Truetzschler, Inc., a German textile machine fabrication company.  In 1997, he became the director of technology at Sorbilite Inc., a recycle press manufacturer. In 2002, Vieten served as vice president of service for Schiller Service Corporation. When Schiller Service Corporation was purchased by Liebherr Cranes in 2004, Vieten was appointed executive vice president of service and repair. In 2009, Vieten was hired by WHECO Corporation as vice president of operations. 

 

The Manitowoc EnCORE Partners Program certifies dealers to complete full remanufacturing of Manitowoc and Grove cranes, including advanced structural repairs. The remanufacturing performed by an EnCORE partner takes place in close collaboration with Manitowoc Crane Care to ensure that the remanufactured crane meets all Manitowoc requirements and OSHA guidelines.
