Implicit Monitoring Solutions Introduces Crane Monitoring System

Implicit Monitoring Solutions, Dallas, Texas, has expanded from its traditional oil and gas equipment monitoring business to now include a new data monitoring solution for the crane industry.

Implicit Monitoring provides satellite-based monitoring solutions for the oil and gas industry with thousands of deployed data acquisition and satellite communication units throughout the U.S. and Latin America. Implicit Monitoring devices are designed to operate in harsh remote environments and are extremely reliable with a 99 percent worldwide coverage.

The company’s channel partners in the crane industry have indicated there is a definite need for a reliable crane monitoring system that allows remote access to the data through a web-based. The Implicit Crane Monitoring System provides easily accessible web-based reports, immediate notification of sensor alarms with text/email messages and equipment runtime to confirm billing and schedule maintenance. Crane data can be captured and displayed in web-based reports, and GPS location and geo-fences monitor fleets and prevent unauthorized movement.

“The crane industry is changing and these changes are requiring a greater need for more operational and performance data to help companies manage their valuable assets,” said Graham “Scooter” Beachum, Implicit president. “Cost-effective technology now allows timely and relevant data to be provided to all key personnel resulting in better decision making and more efficient operations. “

The crane monitoring system has been deployed and field tested while operating in difficult environments.  Crane operators were able to implement new safety procedures based on the information that they were receiving.
