KranXpert Introduces 3D Modeling

KranXpert, a lift planning software available in both free and full versions, recently introduced 3D modeling. According to Michael Harrison of Harrison Crane Service, Miami , Fla. , and a user of the KranXpert program: “The 3D version improves the orientation of complex plans with multiple objects while retaining the ease of use and intuitive interface that were hallmarks of the 2.5D program.”

Developer Markus Scholl has left the familiar drawing tools from the older version of the software in place which means there is almost no learning curve for users moving to the 3-D version. All previously created plans can be opened in the new version and viewed in 3D by simply clicking the 3D tab.

The latest free edition was introduced in 2010. It requires Windows 2000, XP, or  Vista operating systems. In addition, installation of the program is not necessary, as the download is directly executable.

Crane models are continually being added to the program or can be added by the user with the free crane editor. In addition, cranes can be added upon request by KranXpert. The latest additions include Liebherr LTF 1035-3.1, Liebherr LTR 1100, Tadano ATF 130G-5, and Maeda LC 755-3.
