Liebherr has promoted Georg Diesch managing director at Liebherr Hydraulikbagger GmbH in Kirchdorf, Germany, the factory that manufactures Liebherr mobile excavators and material-handling equipment.
For the past 11 years, Diesch was managing Liebherr Cranes Inc. (LCI), and was located in Newport News, Va.
Effective January 01, 2015, Liebherr has appointed Daniel Pitzer as president of LCI. He is in charge of the U.S. business for all types of Liebherr all-terrain and larger crawler cranes.
For the last 9 years, Pitzer worked at the mobile crane factory in Ehingen,Germany , managing sales into several English-speaking countries. During his international business studies, he lived for some time in the U.S. where he finished an MBA degree before returning to Germany.
“I’m looking forward to take over this new role and to work with my team to further strengthen our relationship with our customers in the U.S.,” said Pitzer.
“I congratulate Daniel on his promotion and I’m very pleased that [such] a very motivated and knowledgeable professional takes over to continue Liebherr’s success in the U.S.,” said Diesch.
