Manitowoc Names New Crane Care, EnCORE Managers

Manitowoc has announced the appointments of Scott Keckler as vice president of Manitowoc Crane Care, Manitowoc, Wis., and Gilberto Ferreira as the director of EnCORE Americas, Manitowoc Crane Care’s remanufacturing program. Keckler will report to Bob Hund, executive vice president of Crane Care worldwide, and Ferreira will report to Keckler.

Hund said that Keckler’s experience within Manitowoc has prepared him well for his new role. “Scott is well qualified and has extensive tenure in product support for Grove and Manitowoc,” said Hund. “He has strong relationships with our dealers and exemplary skills in processes and systems.”

Keckler joined Manitowoc Cranes in 1988 at the company’s Shady Grove, Pa. facility. He replaces Dave Hardin, who has taken on support development responsibilities within Manitowoc Crane Care.

Keckler will continue to be based in Shady Grove, but will also be responsible for Manitowoc’s other key U.S. Crane Care locations in Manitowoc, Wis., Jeffersonville, Ind., Bauxite, Ark., as well as Crane Care facilities and offices throughout Latin America.

Keckler has said that Manitowoc Crane Care will benefit from Ferriera’s experience. “As we take steps to expand our crane and component remanufacturing program, we need experienced leadership to direct the developments,” said Keckler. “Gilberto brings a wealth of experience in customer support. His strong leadership skills will be an asset to the growing EnCORE program.”

Ferreira joined Manitowoc in 1997, and has been based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, since 2007. He has held a number of positions, most recently as the director of Manitowoc Crane Care in Latin America and managed the development of the growing Latin America Crane Care organization. Prior to that, he was the director of Manitowoc Crane Care in Iberica. Ferreira will oversee all EnCORE activities in the Americas, including the EnCORE Partners program and operations in Bauxite, Ark.
