Merlo Enlarges Telehandler Range

Newly arrived from Italy, the new Panoramic 55.9CS Merlo has many important innovations. The new telehandler with a capacity of 12,125 pounds and a span of 28 feet is receiving interest from heavy construction, recycling centers and the agricultural sector.

For those who want an alternative to the articulated wheel loader, the 55.9CS innovates by adding suspensions on strategic components to increase comfort, security and efficiency. The telescopic boom has hydro-pneumatic BSS suspension, which is unique to Merlo. This lessens the impact of bumpy ground on the boom and the load. This also means that during bucket work, less is lost due to spillage during transport, and there is less vibration on the material transported with the other attachments.

The cabin of the 55.9CS has an independent hydro-pneumatic suspension, which increases the driver’s comfort by reducing stress and fatigue during long working periods. The ergonomic cabins are already larger and have the best soundproofing on the market, according to the company.

The Panoramic 55.9CS is powered by the Deutz 140-hp turbo motor, which is economical fuel-wise. It has all the other characteristics of the exclusive Merlo range such as the anti-torsion steel belt, components such as the chassis, the class 1 hydrostatic transmission, 360-degree visibility and many other patented innovations.

The first Panoramic 55.9CS in Canada has been delivered to the Alsace Holstein Farm in Québec and the second is already on its way to Manitoba.

With installations in Québec, Montréal and Toronto, Manulift, the Canadian importer of Merlo products, is proud to provide these innovative telehandlers to Canadian entrepreneurs. More than 550 telehandlers have been sold in Canada over the last five years.
