Morris Offers Custom-Built Crane with Standard Components

Morris Material Handling, Oak Creek, Wis., manufacturer of P&H cranes, hoists and replacement parts, introduces custom-built cranes using standard components from Morris that can handle loads of up to 100 tons and spans up to 100 feet. The cranes are built to CMAA design specifications.

Morris Material Handling can customize the cranes and components to fit the needs of the application and remain competitively priced. Options for cranes and components are paired for specific requirements and adjusted according to budget. Morris Material Handling offers a complete line of floor and remote-controlled, standardized industrial overhead cranes with two speed-through adjustable frequency options. Customization options include a wide selection of drives, end trucks, and hoists, as well as optional girder connections to meet the clearance requirements and below-the-hook devices to match specific lifting needs.

Industrial crane components offer several enhanced features, including a completely enclosed bridge and trolley drive gearing to ensure a cleaner work environment and extend gear life in dirty environments; a heavy-duty hoist which increases efficiency and decreases maintenance; a heavy-duty cast iron rope guide with a half depth grooved drum to extend rope life and provide damage resistance; and upper (block-actuated) and redundant geared-type lower hoist travel limit switches for improved safety.
