NCCER Releases Rigger and Signal Person Certification Programs

The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), Gainesville, Fla.,  has released certification programs for signal persons and riggers (basic, intermediate, and advanced).  These certification programs include written assessments and practical examinations that meet or exceed current ASME consensus safety standards and OSHA 29 CFR part 1926 subpart CC.

Test results are available in computer-based and paper/pencil format with results accessible within 15 minutes of submission without any rush fees. NCCER certified riggers and certified signal persons earn portable, industry-recognized credentials that are verifiable in real-time through NCCER’s Automated National Registry (ANR).

The certification tests are available through NCCER Accredited Assessment Centers that have successfully completed the application process and become endorsed. For information, go to www.nccer.org/crane.
