NES Rentals Buys 23 Terex Rough-Terrain Cranes | Construction News

NES Rentals, Chicago, Ill., has agreed to take 23 Terex rough terrain cranes for its rental fleet. Offering lifting capacities ranging from 30 to 70 tons, the new crane models will be distributed among multiple branches throughout NES Rentals’ expansive territory, which includes 27 states reaching from the central to eastern United States.

“At NES, we pride ourselves on supplying our customers the latest equipment, offering the latest safety features and delivering reliable performance in the field, so they can complete their projects on schedule and within budget,” said Andrew P. Studdert, chairman and CEO of NES Rentals. “This agreement for new crane equipment allows us to refresh our rental fleet, so we can deliver on this promise to our customers. It also enables us to standardize on a single crane brand, Terex, which helps our team members to be more efficient and offers us streamlined service and support.”

The agreement with Terex includes a mix of 30-ton class Terex RT 230 cranes, 55-ton capacity Terex RT 555 cranes and the 70-ton Terex RT 670 crane models.  The agreement was structured through Terex Financial Services (TFS), a full-service lending institution. TFS used its extensive knowledge of the crane equipment and current market conditions to custom-tailor a program for NES to maximize rental revenue, while meeting the company’s short-, mid- and long-term goals.

Delivery of the new rough terrain cranes to NES locations will begin immediately and continue over the next several weeks until the contract is fulfilled. “This was a team effort that included several Terex groups working with NES to supply the equipment the rental company needed to better support its customers,” says Dave Kuhlman, senior sales manager, major accounts team, for Terex Cranes. “We appreciate NES’s trust in Terex crane equipment and its confidence in structuring the crane rental fleet around the Terex brand.”
