New Boom Trucks for National Crane

At ICUEE, National Crane, Shady Grove, Pa., will debut its third H-Series boom truck in booth N2016 at the upcoming ICUEE show: the 26-ton capacity 900H. The H-Series uses National's new H-style mounting configuration with out-and-down outriggers in both the front and rear of the machine, which allow for full-, mid-, and retracted-span lifting capabilities and provide added stability.

The 900H features three boom options of 69, 90, and 103 feet, and a maximum tip height of 155 feet with the 103-foot boom and an optional 44-foot jib. The crane is available in front-and rear-mount configurations.

Additionally, the 900H will incorporate the Easy Reach control console, which was first introduced on the 1300H last fall. The Easy Reach system is a spring-assisted, pilot-operated hydraulic controls system that is mounted behind the cab. The console can be unlatched and moved from left or right operator stations and transport positions. The Easy Reach offers adjustable operating height for ergonomic operation, a start-and-stop switch, a console-mounted hour meter, and 12-volt power outlet.

National also will show its new 33-ton 1400A boom truck, which features a four-section 100- or 110-foot boom or a 127-foot five-section boom with self-lubricating “easy glide” boom wear pads as standard to reduce boom chatter and vibration. Maximum tip height is 164 feet with a 30-foot single-section jib. Two sets of H-style outriggers can be set mid-span at 17 feet and full span at 24'6”.

Additionally, the Grove YardBoss YB4409 industrial crane model will be on-display at ICUEE. This crane has a 9-ton lifting capacity and a 21-foot three-section boom with full 360-degree lifting capabilities and low ground-bearing pressure due to is large outrigger pads.
