New Jensen Waterproof Stereo Available for Cranes

Elkhart, Ind.-based ASA Electronics, manufacturer of Jensen heavy-duty audio and video equipment, has partnered with Manitex Inc., Georgetown, Texas, to offer the all-new Jensen JHD910 heavy-duty mini weatherproof AM/FM/WB stereo. The stereo, with exclusive design features and mounting solutions, is ideal for all boom truck, lifting equipment and aerial platform applications.

The JHD910 MINI offers many audio options for heavy-duty crane or lifting applications that do not typically have the space to offer a standard DIN stereo or for those that lack a cab enclosure to protect a stereo from the elements. The JHD910 MINI is equipped with beneficial industry features such as a US/Euro AM/FM tuner with programmable station presets, a front Aux-In for iPod, MP3 player, or portable music device use, and a 7-channel NOAA Weatherband tuner with “Weather Alert.” Weather Alert mode is a unique audible tone that warns the user when dangerous weather conditions are on the horizon. It will also automatically turn the stereo to the appropriate NOAA weather channel when severe conditions are in the area.

The JHD910 functions on 12VDC power, so no batteries are required. The stereo's presets and clock will be stored in the unit's memory up to 30 days even when the battery is disconnected. It is completely waterproof and locks out moisture, dirt, and grime, allowing the unit to withstand even the harshest weather conditions and work environments. The MINI features corrosion and UV resistant faceplate, backlit controls and a daylight readable, LCD display with wide-viewing angles.

The JHD910 can also be paired with add-on accessories specifically designed for the MINI. Accessories include the Jensen JXHD35 waterproof speakers, the JAN139 6” rubber mast top/side mount antenna, and a universal mounting kit with brackets and wiring harness. This compact stereo has dimensions of 5 3/16”W x 3 3/8”H x 1 7/8”D and is now available to the crane industry (OEM and aftermarket) through Manitex Inc.
