Palfinger Launches New Line of Service Cranes

The Palfinger North America Group (PNAG), Council Bluffs, Iowa, introduced a new line of service cranes at the 2010 NTEA Work Truck Show in St. Louis, Mo. The new telescopic cranes offer superior lift-to-weight ratios and hydraulic reaches, according to the company. Four models make up this new family of cranes, each with 29 feet of reach. They range in capacities from 43,000 foot-pounds to 86,000 foot-pounds. Additional features of the crane series include Palfinger’s proprietary hexagonal boom, designed to eliminate boom sway while adding stability during long reaches.

“This new line of products certainly showcases our ability to bring exciting and unique new products to our distributors and end users through the collective strength of our parent company Palfinger AG; and the Palfinger North America Group,” said Mark Whaley, executive vice president of Omaha Standard Palfinger.

An internal integrated two-block damage prevention system built into the winches; wireless remote control standard on all models with manual over-ride controls; SAE hoses with JIC fittings to provide easy field maintenance; and North American manufacturing, service and support at our Council Bluffs, Iowa, facility, are also features of this new service crane series.
