Palfinger North America, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, has introduced the PK 78002-SH high performance crane, which is targeted for heavy-duty applications such as moving heavy machinery, precision installation assignments or loading of boats.
The PK 78002-SH is capable of lifting 74.7 metric tons. It’s equipped with up to eight hydraulic extensions, and can achieve a hydraulic outreach of 66' 11".
Key features include an endless slewing system with two reciprocally hydraulically pre-stressed slewing drives, which reduce play to a minimum; an integrated tank to save space; and a maintenance-free extension boom system, which uses sliding elements made from synthetic material combined with KTL cathodic dip painting.
The crane also incorporates the company’s Dual Power system (DPS) Plus, which enables the fly-jib to be operated with two pressure ranges by using an electronic overload cut-off. In addition, the crane offers a new radio remote control with LCD display, which shows capacity usage, active systems, servicing intervals, movements currently accessible or the position of the stabilizers.
