Scotload has unveiled SmartLoad, an intelligent load cell that uses the newest technology to provide fully controllable and flexible load monitoring.
SmartLoad lets load data be logged on board, inside the load cell. That eliminates the risk of losing load data because the user is not depending on a wireless signal. After logging is started with the handset or PC software, no further intervention is needed, freeing time for the engineer and eliminating the need for other equipment during the load test.
SmartLoad is a plug-and-play system that can be used right out of the box. No specific training is required.

Because no pairing is needed, any handset can be used with load cell by selecting the load cells you wish to view on an intuitive graphical user menu on the handset. The handset also controls load data logging, so no laptop computer is needed. In addition, it can display and control multiple load cells simultaneously, showing individual load weights, plus a sum and average of the load values.
SmartLoad PC software automatically generates ready-to-share charts for all logging events, which saves time when compiling data.
SmartLoad asset-management software for hire companies and fleet owners automatically logs the event history of the load cell. The comprehensive usage log shows when the cell was calibrated, used, and whether it has been overloaded. That lets the owner guard against using or hiring a load cell that could be out of calibration from an overload. It also gives confidence that a SmartLoad cell is always accurate.
Besides offering better usability and functionality than previous Scotload technology, SmartLoad gives long battery life and much improved wireless range.
It can be retrofitted to any load cell, letting users upgrade all their load cells into intelligent load monitoring systems. The load cell and handset firmware and software can be upgraded via the internet as updates become available.
