Terex Cranes to Introduce 13 New Models During Bauma

Terex Cranes, Westport, Conn., will unveil 13 cranes during Bauma 2007, including telescopic cranes, tower cranes, and crawlers from Terex Demag, Terex Bendini, Terex PPM , and Terex Changjiang.

The Demag AC 100/4 telescopic boom all-terrain crane, which Terex bills as “the strongest 110-ton crane on four axles when employing maximum counterweight,” is the first and only crane in its class with a vehicle width of only 2.55 meters and the only 110-ton crane with the dimensions of a 77-ton four-axle crane. It has a fully telescoped main boom and extension.

Terex Bendini will introduce the RC 60, a new 66-ton rough-terrain crane with a newly developed boom sporting five telescopic segments and a total length of 131 feet. The crane's Cummins engine delivers 220 hp at 2200 rpm, and its Dana transmission features six forward and six reverse gears.

Terex PPM will deliver the new TC 40 L, a three-axle truck crane from France. With a 322-hp MAN engine and top speeds of 56 mph, the crane boasts a 123-foot basic boom and a jib with a maximum tip height of 154 feet.

Terex Changjiang, the newest division in the Terex Cranes Group, will unveil a high-performance truck crane that the company touts as among the best-selling in China. It has a five-section boom that reaches a height of 135 feet, a lifting capacity of 66 tons, and a turning radius of only 39 feet.
