Terex Cranes has signed what it believes is one of the largest crawler crane contract in recent years, with Sanghvi Movers Ltd, India. The contract totals 12 crawler cranes, including eight CC 2800-1 cranes in the 660-ton class and four CC 8800-1in the 1760-ton maximum capacity models. All cranes are to be manufactured at the Terex Cranes production facility in Zweibrücken, Germany. Delivery is scheduled from fourth quarter 2011 through third quarter 2013. “For us, this is an exciting step forward into the Indian crane market”, said Thomas Hartmann, sales director of Terex Cranes in Zweibrücken.
