Three new Jekko mini-cranes that were introduced at ConExpo have passed the ANSI tests required to work in the United States.

The 2,180-lb. capacity SPB209CP, the 2,640-lb. capacity SPX312CP / C+, and the 16,500-lb. capacity SPX1275CDH were all introduced to North America at the Western Hemisphere's largest construction trade show in March and passed the ANSI tests in June.

Jekko cranes are manufactured in Italy and distributed in the United States by JekkoUSA, Baltimore, Md.

Jekko mini-cranes are compact crawler cranes that can lift and maneuver in tight work areas. Each model features retractable stabilizing outriggers, and all can fit through a single or double doorway. The complete line comprises six models ranging in capacity from 2,180 lbs. to 16,500 lbs.

The three new models are:

SPB209CP

The smallest of the three new Jekko cranes that recently passed ANSI testing is the SPB209CP. It can lift a maximum of 2,180 lbs. at a 6’7” radius with its boom extended to 10’10”.  Its five-section telescoping boom can extend to a maximum of 20’0” and provide a maximum tip height of 24’6”. At that height, the crane can lift 1,540 lbs.

Stowed for travel or shipment, the compact SPB209CP measures just 8’2” long, 2’6” wide, 5’3” high, and weighs 3,334 lbs. For lifting, its four outriggers can be put in a number of configurations ranging from 9’10” x 9’10” to 2’1” x 13’1”.

Its winch delivers up to 1,090 lbs. of single-line pull, line speeds to 104 fpm., and the capacity to spool 173 ft. of ¼-in. diameter wire rope.

Swing range is 280°, and maximum swing speed is 1 rpm.

The crane is powered by a 10.4-hp. Yamaha MZ360 engine.

SPX312CP / C+

The Jekko SPB312CP / C+ can lift a maximum of 2,640 lbs. at a 6’7” radius with its boom extended to 10’10”. Its five-section telescoping boom can extend from 7’3” to 20’0” and provide a maximum tip height of 24’11”. At that height, the crane can lift 1,760 lbs.

Stowed for travel or shipment, the compact SPX312CP / C+ measures just 9’2” long, 2’6” wide, 5’3” high, and weighs 4,104 lbs. For lifting, its four outriggers can be put in a number of configurations ranging from 11’10” x 11’10” to 2’0” x 15’11”.

Its winch delivers up to 1,320 lbs. of single-line pull, line speeds to 104 fpm., and the capacity to spool 240 ft. of 5/16-in. diameter wire rope.

Swing range is 280°, and maximum swing speed is 1 rpm.

The crane is powered by a 10.4-hp. Yamaha MZ360 engine.

SPX1275CDH

The Jekko SPX1275CDH is the highest capacity mini-crane in the Jekko line. It can lift a maximum of 16,500 lbs. at a 3’3” radius with its boom fully retracted to 16’1”. Its five-section telescoping boom can extend from 16’1” to 58’1” and provide a maximum tip height of 62 ft. At that height, the crane can lift 3,740 lbs. Its maximum radius is 52’6”, where it can lift 1,340 lbs. Adding an optional jib increases the tip height to 86’11”.

Stowed for travel or shipment, the SPX1275CDH measures 18’10” long, 4’9” wide, 6’8” high, and weighs 18,528 lbs. For lifting, its four outriggers form a 15’1” x 15’1” base.

Its winch delivers up to 3,306 lbs. of single-line pull, line speeds to 180 fpm., and the capacity to spool 410 ft. of 10-mm diameter wire rope.

When working with a single-part line, the SPX1275CDH can lift or lower 3,306 lbs. from a depth 380’7” below its crawlers.

The turret can swing 360°, continuous, and maximum swing speed is 1 rpm.

The crane is powered by a 20-hp. Kubota engine.
