Wheco Forms Product Support Agreement with Manitowoc Cranes

Wheco Corp., a Richland, Wash.-based crane and capital equipment repair and restoration company, has signed a joint product support agreement to become a Manitowoc-authorized repair facility for structural repair and remanufacturing services for all Manitowoc crane products.

The agreement complements Manitowoc’s existing EnCore Partners program, by offering Wheco’s specialized repair and remanufacturing services. Introduced earlier this year, EnCore Partners is a network of approved Manitowoc dealers, supported by Manitowoc to do remanufacturing of Grove, Manitowoc, National, and Potain brands.

“We can now offer factory supported structural and non-structural repair and remanufacturing services to Manitowoc’s distributors and customers,” said Ron Williams, CEO of Wheco. “Wheco was selected to provide these services because we have the knowledge, experience, facilities and trained technicians to perform these types of value-added repairs. Having the ability to do this type of work will provide greater value to Manitowoc crane owners. We look forward to working closely with Manitowoc and their distributors and customers. Manitowoc is taking a very forward-thinking position that recognizes the necessity for our specialized services and the quality and value that it can bring to their customers.”

Crane Hot Line recently published an article profiling the services offered by EnCore Partners and Wheco. Read more about it in the September 2011 issue.
