Kirby-Smith Hires New VP of Product Support | Construction News

Equipment dealer Kirby-Smith has hired Tom Montgomery as its new vice president of product support.

Montgomery is responsible for the growth and profitability of Kirby-Smith’s parts and service business. He is tasked with ensuring that Kirby-Smith is well positioned in an evolving competitive environment. Montgomery will be headquartered in Kirby-Smith’s Dallas branch, providing additional corporate presence to Kirby-Smith’s southern division.

A results-oriented leader with a reputation for growing revenue and leveraging competitive advantage, Montgomery is ready for the challenges of his new position.  “I believe that the true measure of a successful dealership is simple – how well do we look after our customers and how well do we look after our employees?”  He is quick to reference the importance of teamwork in regards to achieving his vision of success.  “Every accomplishment is created by a team effort, no more or no less,” he says.

Montgomery brings to Kirby-Smith over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry, including experience in multiple senior executive positions for various distribution and manufacturing companies in North America and overseas.  He most recently directed service operations for Brandt Industries in Regina, Saskatchewan, the world's largest privately held John Deere dealership.

“Tom brings a tremendous skill set to company and we would like to welcome him to the Kirby-Smith Family,” said Jeff Weller, vice president and general manager of Kirby-Smith’s Northern Division.
