Manitowoc Names Warner VP of Global Marketing | Construction News

Manitowoc Cranes has appointed Ion Warner as vice president of global marketing. Warner brings 28 years of automotive and industrial manufacturing experience to his new position.

He will help Manitowoc enhance its global reputation and better develop its marketing activities. Dave Hull, SVP global sales and marketing at Manitowoc, says, “Manitowoc is recognized as a global leader in cranes, which is also reflected in the excellence of our products, the strength of our customer support, and the hard work of our staff. To reinforce our industry-leading position and to continue our quest for excellence, we rely on a strong marketing team.” Hull adds, “Ion will be responsible for building that team and delivering our marketing efforts. I am delighted to welcome him to Manitowoc.”

Before joining Manitowoc, Warner built a successful career at Ford Motor Company, then moved to Case New Holland Industrial, where he held the role of senior director, marketing. His most recent position was vice president of global infrastructure/building services with Pentair, a global industrial equipment manufacturer. 

“Ion has an excellent mix of industry and international business experience that I am confident will help us to develop our marketing programs and enhance our training efforts for years to come,” adds Hull. 

Warner’s responsibilities cover a broad spectrum of marketing across Manitowoc’s global markets and brands, including marketing strategy, sales training, trade show participation, advertising, brand management, public relations, digital marketing, and market research.
