Stephenson Equipment Names New JCB Product Manager

Stephenson Equipment, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, has named Luke Younk as its new JCP product manager.

Younk joins Stephenson after four years of experience with Kubota Tractor, where he was first a service representative and most recently a product manager for 120- to 160-hp tractors.

His career in the equipment business started about 10 years ago when worked with New Holland.

Younk’s experience with equipment started as he grew up on his family’s dairy farm in Northern Michigan and continued as he pursued a college degree in automotive and equipment technology.

JCB’S UK Factory Joins Global Call To Action Over Ventilator Shortage

JCB in the United Kingdom is poised to re-start production at a factory closed as a result of the Coronavirus crisis in order to join the global effort to manufacture ventilators, the company announced today.

JCB received a direct appeal from UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson earlier this month to help plug the national ventilator shortage and to help save lives of Coronavirus patients. Following the approach, JCB Chairman Lord Bamford promised to help in any way the company could and immediately mobilized a research and engineering team to examine potential ways to assist.

JCB North America received the 2019 Supplier of the Year award from United Rentals, which recognizes the OEM for outstanding value, timely delivery, product support, training, and procurement excellence.

July 26, 2019 – Two JCB apprentices won first place in the mechatronics division at the recent SkillsUSA national championships.

Anthony Smith and Victor De La Cruz were tested in practical skills in pneumatic technology, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and general automation techniques. Smith and De La Cruz now have the opportunity to compete in the WorldSkills championships held in Shanghai in the fall of 2021.

JCB launched the 504-13 Loadall subcompact telescopic handler, developed in response to growing demand in North America for telehandlers in the under-6,000-lb. category.

With a 4,000-lb. lift capacity and maximum lift height of 13 ft. 3 in., the 504-13 is well-suited to maintenance applications, jobsite cleanup, and material handling within confined worksites.
