ARA Announces 2018 Volunteer Awards

The American Rental Association (ARA) announced its recipients of the 2018 volunteer recognition awards, honoring individuals for outstanding service to the association and the rental industry.

The awards will be presented during the ARA Show in Anaheim, Calif., Feb. 17-20, 2019.

The volunteer award winners are: 

• Distinguished Service Award: Frederick Dupy, president of American Party Rental in Austin, Texas.
• Meritorious Service Award: Leon Kothmann, Leon Kothmann Insurance Agency in Arlington, Texas.
• Special Service Award: Rick Long, president of Power Equipment Plus, Sand Lake, Mich.
• Outstanding Leadership Award: Sam Castillo, sales manager at Tates Rents in Boise, Idaho.

Regional Persons of the Year Awards

These awards honor members who have made outstanding contributions to the association and the rental industry on the regional, state, provincial, or local levels.
