VMAC has added a 12/24V Battery Booster to its mobile equipment lineup, providing service vehicles with an onboard option for boosting batteries in equipment with 12-volt and 24-volt electrical systems.
Designed for service trucks and vans, the system is intended for technicians working with construction equipment, heavy machinery, commercial vehicles, and fleet maintenance operations. It combines both voltage options in one integrated unit rather than requiring separate portable boosting equipment.
“Service technicians are expected to arrive prepared for an increasingly wide range of equipment, and that includes machines operating on both 12-volt and 24-volt electrical systems,” said Jomo Green, VMAC VP of marketing & sales. “The new VMAC Battery Booster gives fleets another capability they can integrate directly into the service truck, helping technicians stay prepared without adding another portable piece of equipment to manage.”
The VMAC 12/24V Battery Booster weighs 31.6 pounds and measures 17.75 inches long, 16.6 inches wide, and 7.5 inches high. The compact design is intended to help upfitters integrate the unit into service truck cabinets while accounting for available space and payload.
The system uses independent booster batteries that are isolated from the service vehicle chassis during boosting. The vehicle’s charging system maintains the booster batteries between cycles, and the unit provides 12-volt charging capability.
The battery booster can be mounted inside a weatherproof cabinet. Heavy-duty booster cables with alligator clamps are included, with 10-foot and 30-foot configurations available to accommodate different service truck layouts and reach requirements.
Service technicians may encounter equipment with different electrical systems during the same workday. The integrated battery booster is designed to help fleets respond to battery-related service calls involving both 12- and 24-volt equipment without depending on separate portable booster units.
The product is part of VMAC’s range of mobile equipment and accessories for service fleets. The company introduced the battery booster during its 40th anniversary year.
