
AXCS Equipment has rolled out serial-specific QR code decals on select access and material handling equipment, providing operators, rental companies, and equipment owners with direct access to machine-specific support resources.
The updated decals link each machine to its individual serial number, allowing users to retrieve information tailored to that unit through a mobile device. According to the company, the enhancement eliminates several manual lookup steps previously required to locate the correct documentation.
“We are constantly looking for new ways to maximize efficiency and support for our customers, and these updated QR codes are a perfect example of that commitment,” said Eric Liner, CEO of AXCS Equipment. “By linking directly to a machine's specific serial number, we are drastically reducing the time it takes for both operators and owners to find the exact resources they need, keeping equipment maintained and jobsites productive.”
The digital upgrade expands on the company's QR code system introduced in 2021. Instead of directing users to information covering an entire equipment series, the new decals connect users directly to resources for the specific machine being scanned.
Operators and rental customers can quickly access operation manuals, pre-start inspections, and other safety information. Owners, fleet managers and service personnel can retrieve service manuals, search service bulletins, identify replacement parts that match the machine's serial number, and create service tickets linked directly to the equipment. The system also includes a feedback feature that allows users to submit comments about the specific machine to the manufacturer.
The serial-specific QR code decals are currently available on recently shipped Pro Series and Zero Turn models. AXCS Equipment plans to expand the technology to EL and TH series equipment at a later date.
