CanLift Equipment Ltd., one of Canada’s largest independently owned lift equipment providers, has expanded its rental fleet through a new $10 million partnership with JLG Industries. The investment adds more than 70 new units to CanLift’s fleet, bolstering its equipment availability during economic uncertainty tied to supply chain disruptions and tariff impacts.
The expansion includes high-demand models such as the JLG R1385 Rotating Telehandler, the JLG 313 Ultra-Compact Telehandler and several JLG Ultra Booms. These additions strengthen CanLift’s capabilities in the 120-foot-plus range, with the fleet now offering platform heights from approximately 45 to 185 feet and lift capacities from 500 to 13,000 pounds.
CanLift’s equipment selection includes job site-ready features like the JLG ClearSky Smart Fleet IoT management platform and the SkyPower Generator System. ClearSky enables wireless diagnostics, remote fault logging and real-time setup data, while SkyPower supports onboard tools without external generators. Customers also have access to the SkyWelder option, which integrates a 280-amp welder directly on the platform.
“Being Canadian-owned in a global supply chain means we have to be strategic and practical when it comes to supporting our customers,” said Marko Dragicevic, managing partner at CanLift. “Our partnership with JLG allows us to bring in high-demand models faster and ensures the OEM support needed to keep them rental-ready. We’re proud to work with a global partner while still delivering a distinctly local, service-first experience.”
CanLift remains one of Canada's few large aerial lift providers that is locally owned and operated, positioning itself as a direct alternative to multinational competitors.
“At JLG, we believe in building partnerships that drive real innovation and customer value in the access equipment industry,” said Doug Bunting, senior district manager at JLG. “CanLift’s commitment to service excellence, smart fleet optimization and their vision for future expansion truly reflect the entrepreneurial spirit we admire. As they continue to grow their presence across Ontario, we’re proud to stand alongside them—supporting their fleet with our reliable, high-performance access equipment and helping deliver exceptional job site outcomes.”
CanLift’s “Support Canadian. Rent Canadian.” campaign will continue throughout 2025, encouraging businesses to consider the broader impact of their rental choices during a time of increasing economic pressure for Canadian companies.
