Elliott Equipment Company has added two new leaders to its management team as part of an effort to support operational growth and product development across its aerial equipment and utility product lines.
The company announced June 9 that Andrew Schumacher has joined Elliott as vice president of Nebraska operations and Chad Barrett has been appointed director of product management.
Elliott, a manufacturer of truck-mounted aerial work platforms, digger derricks and cranes, said the hires are intended to strengthen operational alignment and product development initiatives between Elliott and Stellar.
In his new role, Schumacher will oversee Elliott’s production, quality, engineering and safety functions while reporting to Stellar Chief Operating Officer Craig Shafer. Elliott said Schumacher will lead the company’s Nebraska operations team as part of efforts to advance operational performance.
Schumacher brings more than 15 years of experience in equipment manufacturing leadership. He most recently served as general manager of Wayne Combustion Systems, a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway company, and has held previous leadership roles focused on engineering, manufacturing processes, safety culture and workforce development.
“Andrew brings a strong combination of leadership and expertise that is aligned with our vision for the future,” said Shafer. “We’re excited to see the impact he’ll make on the organization as Elliott continues to grow.”
Barrett joins Elliott as director of product management, where he will lead ongoing development of the company’s equipment portfolio and help integrate customer feedback into product planning and enhancements.
Reporting to Stellar Vice President of Supply Chain and Product Management Matt Schroeder, Barrett brings more than a decade of engineering and product development experience in the utility equipment industry.
Elliott said Barrett’s background working with industry stakeholders and equipment users will support continued efforts to improve product performance, reliability and safety.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Chad to the team,” said Shafer. “His combination of engineering expertise and customer-focused mindset will help ensure the voice of the customer remains at the center of everything we do.”
According to Elliott, the leadership additions are part of the company’s broader focus on investing in talent to support customers, dealer partners and future business growth.
