HOLT Aerial, a U.S.-based company specializing exclusively in Bronto Skylift aerial work platforms, continues to strengthen its reputation for delivering safe and reliable high-reach solutions across North America.
The company operates a fleet of more than 60 Bronto units, with working heights ranging from 147 to 341 feet, serving a range of industries including energy, wind, refinery and aerospace.
According to Keith Darby, director of operations at HOLT Aerial, the company’s focus on Bronto Skylift equipment has been a strategic advantage rather than a limitation.
“I feel like we have a solution for any needs our customer base might have,” Darby said. “They know we can lift them right where they need to go, and we do that safely and efficiently.”
Bronto Skylift’s aerial platforms have become a key part of high-reach work in challenging environments, offering features designed for performance and operator safety. Clayton Ripley, vice president and general manager at HOLT Aerial, cited the Bronto S230XR as an example of the versatility found across the company’s fleet.
“The S-XR range provides extra reach for operators to access the most challenging places easily and safely,” Ripley said. “You can park a pretty good distance away from whatever you’re trying to work on. The truck can go straight up, depending on the model, over 100 feet and then over another 100 feet.”
The S230XR includes an extendable working cage that can safely hold up to four people, a continuous 360-degree rotating turntable and a wind rating up to 12.5 meters per second. These design features allow operators to complete demanding jobs efficiently while maintaining full safety compliance.
In describing the company’s commitment to safety and performance, Ripley added, “We always say that a Bronto is the safest, most efficient way to lift a human greater than 300 feet in the air.”
Darby noted that HOLT Aerial’s experience with Bronto Skylift equipment stands apart from other manufacturers.
“Since the very first time I went up in one of these units, I have always been a believer in what these machines can do,” he said. “I have had the chance to operate similar equipment from different manufacturers, and nothing compares to the Bronto.”
He also credited Bronto’s technical support teams in both the U.S. and Finland for their expertise and responsiveness, noting that service accessibility has been a major factor in HOLT Aerial’s continued success.
“Our customers are always very impressed with this aspect because minimal setup time translates to maximum in-air production on their end,” Darby said. “Brontos are unique compared to similar equipment in that the operating system is very advanced but also very user-friendly.”
As the largest authorized Bronto dealer in the United States, HOLT Aerial continues to provide access solutions for high-elevation work across a wide range of applications.
“I would recommend Brontos to anybody who needs to perform work at above 180 feet,” Darby said. “As an authorized Bronto dealer, and the largest dealer in the U.S., we firmly believe that Brontos are the safest and most efficient method for lifting people to great heights.”
