JLG Industries has received recognition at CES 2026 for its advancements in construction robotics. The company earned a CES Innovation Awards Best of Innovation distinction in the Robotics category for its boom lift with robotic end effector concept. Additionally, JLG was named a CES Innovation Awards Honoree in the construction and industrial tech category.
The boom lift with robotic end effector demonstrates how traditional lift equipment can evolve into autonomous systems capable of performing complex elevated tasks, including welding, inspection and installation. Designed for industrial environments, the lift integrates robotic manipulators, AI-guided control and multi-sensor perception on a mobile platform. It can navigate, position and execute tasks autonomously or as part of a coordinated fleet, while also connecting with digital twins and job site management platforms.
“We’re honored that JLG has been recognized with a CES Innovation Awards Best of Innovation award and as a CES Innovation Awards Honoree for our boom lift with robotic end effector concept,” said Shashank Bhatia, chief technology officer and global vice president of engineering at JLG. “At JLG, we’re committed to pushing the boundaries of technology — from electrification and connectivity to safety and sustainability. Every innovation we develop begins with listening to our customers, understanding the challenges they face every day on the job site and designing solutions that help them work safely, intelligently, sustainably and efficiently. These awards are a testament to our dedication to delivering solutions that reimagine what’s possible on job sites.”
The CES Innovation Awards, produced by the Consumer Technology Association, recognize outstanding design and engineering in 36 technology categories. This year’s program received more than 3,600 submissions, with top-scoring products in each category earning the Best of Innovation distinction.
JLG’s recognition at CES 2026 reflects a broader trend in construction and industrial technology, where AI, robotics and connected systems are increasingly integrated into equipment design. Innovations such as the boom lift with robotic end effector showcase the potential for automation to enhance efficiency and safety on job sites.
The award-winning equipment will be on display in the Oshkosh Corporation booth at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Jan. 6–9.
