JLG Introduces Rapid Replaceable Platform for Select Boom Lifts

JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation business and leading global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) and telehandlers, has introduced its new Rapid Replaceable Platform as a standard feature on select boom lift models in North America. The new platform is designed to streamline maintenance and reduce equipment downtime by allowing for quick platform replacement in the field.

The Rapid Replaceable Platform allows damaged platforms to be removed and installed significantly faster than traditional methods, helping machines return to service more quickly. Among the features integrated into the new platform design are a center storage tray, self-closing gates, dual USB-A and USB-C chargers, tool clip locations on both sides of the console box, a relocated manual storage box for improved protection and an LED light under the console box for illumination. These updates do not impact the platform's rated capacity and are fully compatible with approved JLG accessories.

Production of the new platform began in May 2025 and will roll out across all applicable platform sizes and models. Units built with the Rapid Replaceable Platform will not be compatible with traditional platforms. Replacement platforms can be ordered through JLG’s Online Express system.

The change does not affect JLG’s Toucan, Tow-Pro and compact crawler boom lift product lines, which will continue using the existing platform design.
