Manitou Introduces a New Visualization Tool for Construction Planning

Manitou Group recently launched a new product modeling solution for its products in the construction market. Using architecture software to digitize the product catalog, the models are available worldwide in French and English, free, from a library accessible on manitou.com.

BIM architects, modelers, and designers can easily incorporate Manitou machines into their electronic plans for construction projects.

BIM (Building Information Modeling) refers to the tools for modeling construction information, encompassing every phase of a construction site, from design to deconstruction. That modeling provides users with a completely immersive experience, helping them make decisions and reduce cost.

The database is free and easily accessible. To access all the 3D models, users simply create an account on the Manitou Group website. The entire range of fixed-body telehandlers and aerial work platforms is available now. Other construction machinery, such as rotating telehandlers and lift trucks, will be added to the library in 2022.

“Our digital transformation is accelerating and should enable our customers to improve efficiency on their sites,” said Arnaud Boyer, vice president of marketing and product development, Manitou Group. “That’s why Manitou offers dynamic files in BIM format, which are part of a collaborative approach to project development.”

With this development, Manitou hopes to ensure its presence in projects from start to finish by meeting demand that has grown significantly in the last few years.

BIM&CO, a SaaS software publisher, was chosen as a simple approach for the user and its ability to evolve as an ongoing solution for more efficient and collaborative management.

“We are delighted to have someone like Manitou Group as a customer,” said Laurent Lacroix, business development director at BIM&CO. “Products in BIM format can be quickly uploaded to the BIM&CO platform and then easily integrated into digital mock-ups, bringing visibility to design offices and architects.’

Manitou Group will present this new offering in detail at the BIM WORLD show on April 5-6, 2022, in Paris, France.
