EnerSys has launched its UL1012‑approved NexSys+ Outdoor charger, designed to meet the demands of elevated aerial equipment and material handling tools operating outside. The weather‑ready enclosure (NEMA 3R/IP54) ensures functionality in varied conditions, making it suitable for outdoor lift-and-access scenarios.
Balancing convenience and performance, the charger features auto temperature management, manual and automated controls, a sharp 4.3-inch color display, and delivers up to 94% efficient charging.
Alex Capellini noted that this addition allows outdoor fleet operators — including those using telehandlers and aerial platforms — to access advanced charging capabilities traditionally limited to indoor setups.
This announcement follows EnerSys’ recent UL2580 Rev3 certification for its NexSys iON lithium-ion battery and aligns with the company's safety-first mission. Christina Warn emphasized that the new charger underscores EnerSys’ focus on user protection.
