NTEA – The Work Truck Association has released the "Commercial Vehicle Market Update", a quarterly report examining commercial vehicle market conditions and industry trends.
The inaugural edition examines second-quarter 2026 data, including commercial vehicle sales, shipments, and inventory. The report also breaks down market activity by weight class and cab type, as well as body type and vocational application.
Other areas covered include macroeconomic indicators affecting commercial vehicle demand, fuel, material, and financing costs, and the adoption of zero-emission vehicles and advanced technologies. The report also includes industry forecasts and key indicators to watch in the coming quarter.
“Commercial vehicle market conditions are influenced by a wide range of interconnected factors, and understanding how those pieces fit together is critical for effective business planning,” said Andrew Wrobel, NTEA commercial vehicle insight strategist. “Commercial Vehicle Market Update brings those signals together in one resource, giving industry professionals timely context they can use to better understand where the market stands and where it may be headed.”
