A telescopic-boom rough-terrain crane toppled over and dunked its extended boom into the Shrewsbury River at a marina project in Monmouth Beach, N.J. The two-axle, rubber-tired crane was sitting atop a barge with its outriggers extended, when it tipped up onto its back end with the upperworks swung 90°. The crane remained on the barge, except for its extended boom, which crashed through a section of dock and went into the river. No word about the cause of the accident was available, and no injuries were reported. –www.newjersey.news12.com
