Imperial Crane, Joliet, Ill., has announced that their experience modification rate (EMR) has reached a record low of .75. The company reports it strives to create an incident and injury free work environment by providing safety training and incentives for its employees, and is quickly approaching three years without a lost-time accident.
Imperial’s low EMR has made it possible to continue building relationships with customers such as BP Amoco refinery in Whiting, Ind. and Citgo refinery in Lemont, Ill. The company notes that by participating in their customers’ safety programs and establishing their own, they’ve created a “Talk Safety, Live Safety” culture that their ownership and staff are dedicated to.
