Lift and Access Seeks Entries for 2013 LLEAP Awards

Lift and Access magazine is seeking entries for its 2013 Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Aerial Platforms (LLEAP) Awards competition, the seventh year of the award program. LLEAP judges will evaluate and honor innovative products that were introduced to the industry between April 1, 2011, and Feb. 28, 2013. Products considered must be new, innovative, and beneficial to the state of the lifting equipment and access industry.


AMS Brings AIRO Lifts to U.S.

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Applied Machinery Sales (AMS) announced it is growing its material handling product lineup with the introduction of AIRO MEWPs to the U.S. market.

AMS will distribute a wide range of AIRO’s aerial platform models across five categories for indoor and outdoor use: scissor, vertical mast, spider, telescopic, and articulating lifts. Most models are available in either diesel or electric power. Rough terrain versions are available across model lines as well.

Terex AWP announces its new generation of boom lifts, the Xtra Capacity XC Series. All Genie XC booms combine the benefits of a dual-envelope design to provide an unrestricted range of motion with a platform capacity of 660 lbs. and a restricted operating envelope capacity of 1,000 lb. To support additional weight on the platform, Genie XC booms are engineered with an updated boom structure that boasts increased performance, range of motion and envelope control, as well as a robust jib capable of easily handling the standard 1,000-lb. maximum capacity.

Genie Unveils 135-Ft. Telescopic Boom Lift with Extra Capacity

This week, Terex AWP introduced the 135-ft. Genie SX-135XC self-propelled telescopic boom lift. The first model in the new Genie Xtra Capacity (XC) family, the Genie SX-135XC boom lift has 90-ft of outreach, a 660-lb. unrestricted lift capacity, the ability to work 19'8" below grade, and a 12'11" x 13'6" compact footprint.

Skyjack's largest telescopic boom lift, the SJ86T, made its debut in spring 2015. The lift features an 86-ft. platform height with a jib that rotates 65°/-60° and has a horizontal outreach of 76'10".

The SJ86T features a 36"x96" platform and an unrestricted platform capacity of 500 lbs. Restricted capacity is set at 750 lbs.

The popularity for low-level access lifts continues to be on an upward trend, with growth in new construction, renovation, maintenance, and industrial applications is driving the demand.
Skyjack’s SJ12 represented the company’s low-level mast lifts at the Lift and Access Showcase, which took place in October 2014 in Las Vegas, Nev. It offers 12-ft. platform height, 500-lb. platform capacity, compact design, 0° turning radius, and Skyjack’s signature relay-based controls.

Teupen Offers New Compact Aerial Lifts in the LEO Series

Teupen recently launched two new LEO Series compact aerial lifts for the North American market: the TL54AJ and the TL63.

The TL54AJ is Teupen’s largest lift that can fit through a standard single doorway and is fitted with an independently operated jib that can move 90° to maneuver in tight work areas. Providing a similar look and feel as the 51-ft. unit, the TL54AJ has an increased 53’6” platform height and a lateral reach of 27’11”. The two person platform provides 441 lbs. of unrestricted capacity.

Skyjack’s SJ12 represented the company’s low-level mast lifts at the Lift and Access Showcase, which took place last October in Las Vegas, Nev.

Genie created a whole new facade for the The National WWII Museum in New Orleans during the 2015 Rental Show last week. In fact, the facade was 100 ft. tall, 3D, and very blue.

Promoting the completion of its six-unit Genie GTH-telehandler product family, Genie and The Production Network, (Genie’s event producer) collaborated with Go2 Productions of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to create a specialized and astounding “projection mapping” animation.
