Ranger DST30PX Balancer Handles Tires up to 43 Inches

Ranger, a division of BendPak, has introduced the DST30PX Professional Wheel Balancer for service operations handling larger and heavier wheel assemblies.

The machine accommodates tires up to 43 inches in diameter and has a 145-pound capacity. Its design includes a reinforced chassis and hood assembly intended to limit flex and vibration, along with a 40-millimeter shaft to increase stiffness when balancing heavier wheels.

An open-side hood design provides clearance for wider tires, aggressive offsets, and bulky sidewalls. The layout is intended to reduce repositioning when technicians mount wheel assemblies.

The DST30PX uses a 64-tooth magnetic transducer encoder to convert rotary position into a digital signal. The encoder supports wheel profile readings and top-dead-center positioning for wheel-weight placement.

A 16-bit processor and multidirectional quartz piezoelectric sensors detect imbalance across multiple force directions. Operators can select Dynamic, Static, or Performance Alloy balancing settings.

The balancer also includes automatic braking, self-calibration, a top-dead-center weight indicator, and tiered placement indicators. A full-tilt LED display control panel, manual or automatic hood-start operation, and multiuser presets are among its other controls.

The machine has a 30-inch wheel diameter range and a stated six-second cycle time. Additional features include a quick-release hub nut, side-position brake, and onboard storage with a top tray, side cone pegs, and a shelf designed for Ranger Quick-Peel adhesive tape weight rolls.

The DST30PX is ETL certified to meet applicable UL and CSA safety standards in the United States and Canada. It comes with a starter kit of adhesive and clip-on steel wheel weights, and Ranger Select setup and training are available.
