Brass Knuckle has expanded its personal protective equipment offerings with the introduction of Read safety glasses, designed for workers who require magnification due to presbyopia while operating in industrial and access-related environments.
Presbyopia, the gradual loss of near vision associated with aging, can make it difficult for workers to read controls, gauges, manual and digital displays. In lift and access applications, removing safety glasses to use reading glasses can increase exposure to jobsite hazards.
The Brass Knuckle Read safety glasses integrate magnification directly into ANSI-rated protective eyewear. The product is available in five diopter strengths and features a durable polycarbonate frame with added side protection.
The lenses are hard-coated polycarbonate and include BK-Anti-FOG technology, which is permanently bonded to the lens surface. The coating is designed to retain its anti-fog, anti-scratch, anti-static and UV protection properties over time.
The ANSI/SEA Z87.1-2015 standard recognizes protective readers as a solution for workers who need magnification while maintaining eye safety. Brass Knuckle Read safety glasses are designed to meet that need for workers performing elevated, mechanical or equipment-related tasks.
Brass Knuckle is part of the Volk Enterprises family of companies and supplies safety products to a range of industries, including construction, manufacturing and equipment operation.
