Craig Young Joins AWP Safety as Chief Information Officer

AWP Safety has named Craig Young as chief information officer, a move that underscores the company’s focus on technology-driven solutions for the infrastructure and access industries in the U.S.

In his new role, Young will lead AWP Safety’s digital strategy, unifying its enterprise systems, improving responsiveness and delivering seamless digital tools for customers.

“Craig brings both vision and deep experience to AWP Safety,” said Rob Sehnert, president and chief executive officer. “He understands how to use technology to drive transformation — helping us scale smarter, better serve customers and strengthen our position across North America.”

Young joins the company at a time when the industry faces labor constraints, stricter regulations and higher demands for operational transparency. His leadership is expected to enhance real-time data access and enable more efficient, safer operations in the field.

Before joining AWP Safety, Young held senior technology positions including CTO at Tillman FiberCo, global CIO at SWIFT and leadership roles at Verizon and Verizon Wireless. He brings more than three decades of experience in enterprise technology and digital modernization.

“AWP Safety operates at the intersection of infrastructure growth and safety innovation,” Young said. “I’m excited to help shape the digital tools and systems that will protect frontline workers, empower our teams and create a safer tomorrow for the communities we serve.”

Young is a U.S. Navy veteran and holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems management from Bellevue University, along with executive training from IESE Business School.
