Fassi recently unveiled two new medium-duty models in its XE range of articulating-boom cranes.

The F345A XE-Dynamic and the F345RA XE-Dynamic cranes belong to the HC1 HD5 S2 class (if fitted on trucks), according to the EN12999:2011 standard, and have a maximum lifting capacity of 33.4 tm (241,582 lb.-ft.), with a maximum hydraulic horizontal outreach of 20.5 m (67’3”), which can be increased to 26.7 m (87’7”) in the version with six telescopic boom sections combined with the L214 hydraulic extension.

The weight and dimensions of both models make them excellent for mounting on three-axle vehicles. Excellent weight-to-power ratios let the F345A and F345RA provide lifting performance while also retaining more of the truck’s payload capacity.

The new F345A model has rack-and-pinion rotation. The F345RA offers continuous rotation on a slewing ring. Both cranes feature the FX500 control system, the D850 hydraulic distributor bank, Fassi RCH/RCS radio controls, and FSC-S or H stability controls.

The cranes will be available in various versions with a maximum of up to eight hydraulic boom sections in the standard configuration, and in three versions with a short secondary arm. To further increase the working range, configurations with jibs are available.
