Genie Receives Six Industry Awards in 2025

Genie received six industry awards in 2025 recognizing equipment design updates and digital tools intended to improve durability, reduce service requirements and lower total cost of ownership across several product lines.

The awards, presented by trade media and industry organizations, highlighted innovations in boom lifts, slab scissor lifts and digital service access tools. According to Genie, the recognition reflects continued development of electrified equipment and service-focused design changes.

Boom Lift Recognition

The Genie S-85 XC FE hybrid and S-85 XC E electric boom lifts were recognized in the new product category at the Working at Height Awards, organized by IPAF and KHL. Both models feature lithium-ion technology and include a lithium-ion-powered AC generator capable of delivering up to 12 kilowatts of power for tools and welding applications.

“These boom lifts are a complete upgrade, with thoughtful engineering and more than 80 quality improvements with the goal of keeping our machine in the field longer with fewer service intervals,” said Dominik Damm, Genie global product director-booms.

According to Genie, redesigned components were intended to enhance durability, reduce corrosion and lower ownership costs by up to 15% on electric models and 6% on hybrid models.

Digital Tools Recognized

Genie also received a technology innovation award at the Working at Height Awards for its serial-number-specific QR code system. The QR codes provide access to equipment documentation, parts ordering and service information through the Serial Hub digital platform.

When scanned using a smartphone or tablet, the codes link users to machine-specific data through GenieLift.com and the myGenieLift.com mobile app.

Slab Scissor Lift Awards

The remaining awards recognized Genie’s next-generation GS slab scissor lift line, which features a redesigned structure aimed at improving serviceability and reducing operating costs.

A key design change is the curved linkage system, which reduces overall machine weight and allows the use of smaller, right-sized components such as batteries, drive motors and electrical systems. Genie reported that replacement part costs are lower as a result of these changes, while performance was benchmarked against other machines in the category.

The GS slab scissor lift line received the following awards:

  • Compact Equipment Innovative Iron
  • Construction Equipment Top 100 New Products of 2025
  • Equipment Today Contractors’ Top 50 New Products
  • Rental Editor’s Choice
  • Working at Height Awards, Shortlisted for New Products
