Hiab to Unveil New Building Material Crane Models

Hiab, part of Cargotec, plans to debut three new building material crane models at the IAA exhibition in Hannover, Germany, on Sept. 20-27.

The building material crane models, which include the Hiab L-HiPro 145, L-HiPro 195, and L-HiPro 235, range in capacity from about 14 to 22 U.S. tons. The high-speed extensions enable long outreach and fast operation.

“When we developed these new crane models, our customers’ needs on construction sites were the guiding factor in our research and development work,” said Hans Ohlsson, director of medium-range cranes for Hiab. “The end result is a Hiab crane that offers the operator the possibility of delivering more during the day.”

All new models are equipped with Hiab's steering options. For the L-HiPro 145, L-HiPro 195, and L-HiPro 235 models, Hiab offers the HiPro advanced remote control system.

“The HiPro offers the highest speed and precision,” Ohlsson said. “It has been designed to provide ultra-quick and ultra-smooth response and is able to support a high number of simultaneous movements.”

The new models, which will be available in North America, also feature designs where key parts and components that require regular attention are easily accessible.
