JLG Industries Inc. has introduced its largest-ever telehandler, the 15,000-lb. capacity G15-44A.

JLG unveiled the heavy-duty pick-and-carry handler during the 2015 Rental Show in New Orleans.

Designed for the North American market, the JLG G15-44A can lift 15,000 lbs. at 8 ft. of forward reach and offers several class-leading distinctions among comparable heavy-duty telehandlers, including:

  • 31-ft. maximum horizontal reach
  • 18-in. ground clearance
  • 20-mph maximum travel speed
  • 61-second boom cycle time

The machine's 14'6" tight outside turning radius and low, 32,500-lb., gross vehicle weight make it agile and productive on the jobsite.

It is powered by a 130-hp Tier 4i Cummins 4.5L diesel engine that is powerful and reliable.

The G15-44A can raise 7,000 lbs. to its 44-ft. maximum lifting height, and can lift 2,000 lbs. at its 31-ft. maximum forward reach.

All of its capacities are achieved without using stabilizers.

The large, cab has ample space for operator comfort, and all of the boom functions are controlled by a single joystick. The powershift transmission has four forward speeds and three in reverse. The steering system lets the operator select from two-wheel, four-wheel circle, and four-wheel crab to provide the best maneuverability for any situation.

Some 20 attachments ranging from tilt and swing carriages to buckets and pipe grapples are available for added productivity.

“This machine is strong throughout the entire load chart,” said Brian Boeckman, JLG Industries’ global product director for telehandlers. “At the end of the day, features only matter if the machine is on the jobsite and being productive. The JLG G15-44A will deliver unwavering reliability, so rental houses can maximize their ROI.”
