People who need a boom lift that can travel on soft, sensitive, or sloppy ground now can choose JLG’s new Quad Tracks for JLG models 600S and 660SJ.

Quad Tracks convert a wheeled model into a tracked machine.

The Quad Track system is made up of four triangular rubber tracks, one replacing each of the lift’s wheels.

Each track assembly measures 34” high, 54” long, and 18” wide and bolts directly to the boom lift’s standard wheel hubs.

Quad Track increases machine utilization and flexibility for working on a range of surfaces, including sand, mud, gravel, grass, paved streets with curbs, potholes, and sharp transitions.

Quad Track’s low-profile design minimizes impact on ride height, track width, and maximum drive speed.

Those features give excellent flotation, minimal rutting, improved traction, greater comfort over obstacles, and no “break over” effect.

When conditions change, Quad Tracks can be swapped for regular tires. They can also be used on other applicable models of JLG boom lift.

To simplify transportation, a lift equipped with Quad Tracks doesn’t need wide-load accommodations when it’s properly loaded and tied down.

“There are many considerations when selecting a boom lift for the work at hand. This can sometimes make it challenging to choose between tires or tracks,” says Randi McClure, marketing manager for JLG Boom Lifts. “When this happens, Quad Tracks offer an alternative solution: The ability to convert a normal, wheeled JLG boom lift into a highly capable, tracked machine. This allows operators to cover a wide range of applications on multiple job sites with one machine — and offers fleet managers the ability to switch between continuous tracks and traditional wheels as needed.”

The new Quad Tracks are currently available with new 600S and 660SJ machine orders, as well as through aftermarket on selected, two-wheel-steer models.

They’ll be available for more models in the near future.
