Magni Unveils 63-ft. Telehandler Designed for U.S. Market

The new Magni TH 6.20 fixed-body telehandler includes features 13,200-lb. maximum capacity, 63-ft. maximum lifting height, and 47’8” forward reach at a price about 16% lower than competitive models, says Vince DeRienzo, national sales manager of Paramount Equipment LLC, Magni’s master distributor for the 23 easternmost U.S. states.

Magni rolled out the new model at the recent Bauma trade show in Munich, Germany, where it was very well received, according to DeRienzo, who had a hand in setting the design criteria for the TH 6.20.

The first units are scheduled to arrive at Paramount Equipment’s facility in Union, N.J., by September.

With its front stabilizers down, the TH 6.20 can lift its 13,200-lb. maximum load to a height of 32 ft.; lift 5,500 lbs. to its maximum lifting height of 63 ft.; or pick up 1,870 lbs. at 47’8” of forward reach.

All functions, including forward and reverse travel, are operated by a single, electro-hydraulic joystick that permits precise, proportional control.

Power comes from a 136-hp Deutz diesel engine that meets Tier 4 Final emission standards with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) but without a diesel particulate filter. The engine puts out 368 lb.-ft. of torque at 850 rpm.

The Rexroth load-sensing, electronically controlled, hydrostatic transmission delivers full-time four-wheel drive, two speed ranges in both forward and reverse, a top travel speed of 25 mph, and up to 14,837 lb.-ft. of drawbar pull.

The steering system lets the operator select two-wheel, four-wheel, and crab modes. The machine’s minimum turning radius, including forks, is 13’7”.  The machine has more than 16 in. of ground clearance.

Ready for travel, it measures 21’4” long, 8’3” wide, 9’5” high, weighs 31,256 lbs., and and is equipped to drive legally on public roads.

DeRienzo says that although the Magni TH 6.20 is priced lower than competitors, it comes loaded with standard features, including a comfortable, fully enclosed and pressurized operator’s cab with large windows for excellent vision and both air conditioning and heating for climate control. The cab is ROPS and FOPS certified.

The standard features also include a 5,000-psi, 23,8-gpm auxiliary hydraulic circuit to operate attachments, and an LMI that senses which attachment is mounted to the boom top and automatically provides the operator with the correct capacity chart. The machine accepts any attachment in Magni’s line, including forks, winches, a truss boom, and many others.
