WEST BEND, Wis. – Manitou added 12 models to its range of industrial forklifts for the North American market.
The manufacturer introduced eight internal combustion diesel models in the Manitou MI Industrial Forklift Range. An additional four new electric models are also now available, expanding the Manitou ME Industrial Forklift Range.
With the addition of these 12 new machines, Manitou’s industrial forklift line for North America now includes 12 models in the MI range and 14 models in the ME range.
“Expanding our offering of industrial forklift models in North America allows us to provide handling solutions for even more unique industries and applications,” said Chris Mathijs, director of sales for Manitou products, Manitou Group. “We are especially excited to offer a diesel option for those customers that require an efficient and ergonomically designed forklift suitable for many different lifting applications from lumber to concrete to tiles and bags and other outdoor uses. Our new forklift ranges are environmentally friendly with optimal safety features and easy maintenance.”
Eight new diesel-powered industrial forklift models, with lift capacities ranging from 8,000 to 22,026 lbs., offer new medium and high capacity options in the Manitou MI Range. These machines are designed for heavy-duty applications indoors or out. The tires, engine power, and components can sustain intense use in storage, production, and distribution industries.
The MI 40D, MI 45D, MI 50D, MI 50LD, MI 60D, and MI 70D come equipped with a 74-hp engine, while the MI 80D and MI 100D have a 114-hp engine. All new diesel models have a maximum lift height up to 19’8”.
The four new electric models include the ME 440, ME 445, and ME 450, adding greater lift capacities to the line able to handle 8,047 to 11,000 lbs. All three models feature four wheels, an 80-volt battery, 34-hp lifting motor, and maximum lift height of 19’8”. The Manitou ME 315C also joins the ME Range and provides a smaller three-wheeled option. This compact machine can easily maneuver through aisles as narrow as 10’3”. It is powered with a 24-volt battery and 11.5-hp lifting motor.
