Mid Country Machinery (MCM) is opening a new MCM Rents location in Blair, Nebraska, in May, expanding access to aerial and compact equipment for customers in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa.
The branch is designed as a rental-focused facility with additional support for used equipment and service. Equipment offerings include aerial platforms and compact construction machines from manufacturers such as JLG, Hitachi, SkyTrak and SANY.
Located near the company’s Sioux City operation, the Blair site will function as part of a shared network, enabling coordinated fleet availability and equipment access across multiple locations. This structure is intended to improve coverage across Omaha, Fremont, Tekamah, Missouri Valley and nearby communities.
The expansion addresses previous challenges in the region, where contractors often experienced travel times of up to an hour to obtain equipment or service. By establishing a closer location, MCM aims to improve response times and support jobsite productivity.
“This new location allows us to be closer to our customers and respond faster when they need us most,” said Phil Duane, general manager of Mid Country Machinery. “Whether it’s equipment availability or service in the field, our goal is to reduce downtime and help contractors and operators stay productive. This expansion strengthens our ability to do exactly that.”
The Blair branch will employ three to four staff members, including Level 3-certified technicians and a dedicated on-road service technician. Shop operations will be led by experienced personnel with service backgrounds, including work with Deutz engines.
According to the company, the new location extends its existing service model while focusing on improving accessibility and support for aerial equipment users in the region.
