MEC Aerial Work Platforms has begun shipping its new PLUS (+) electric scissor lift models and the MME30 vertical mast lift to rental fleets across North America in the second quarter of 2026. The new models, first introduced at The ARA Show and CONEXPO-CON/AGG earlier this year, are designed to support productivity, increase equipment uptime and address rental fleet needs.

According to MEC, the new equipment lineup includes updated electric slab scissor lifts with increased platform capacities, extended duty cycles and durability enhancements, along with a new vertical mast lift offering a 36-foot working height for indoor applications.

“After getting a glimpse of these new products at The ARA Show and CONEXPO-CON/AGG earlier this year, we’ve heard from customers who are ready to put these models to work,” said Paul Waller, MEC vice president of sales for North America. “Starting this quarter, rental companies can add these models built for real jobsite demands, featuring higher usable capacities, more operation time per charge and other practical updates shaped by end-user feedback.”

The PLUS series models now shipping include the Micro 19+, Micro 19-XD+, Micro 26+, Micro 26-XD+, 3232+, 3346+, 4046+ and 4555+, as well as the 1930+ and 2632+ models for the Canadian market.

MEC said the updated Micro 19+ and Micro 19-XD+ models are intended for compact indoor work environments and feature increased platform capacities. Platform capacity increases to 600 pounds, up by 100 pounds, while deck extension and Xtra-Deck (XD) capacity rise to 300 pounds. The models also include new AC front-wheel drive brushless motors designed to increase duty cycles by 8%.

Additional updates include larger wheels, high-angle steering and front-wheel drive to improve maneuverability on ramps, thresholds and uneven surfaces, along with updated non-marking tires designed for durability.

Across the broader PLUS slab electric lineup, MEC said improvements focus on reducing overload-related interruptions, extending battery runtime and lowering operating costs. Depending on the model, platform capacities increase by 50 to 150 pounds, while deck extension and XD capacities increase from 250 pounds to 300 pounds.

The company said high-efficiency PMSR AC drive motors allow for a reported 22% increase in duty cycles by recapturing energy during descent. Additional updates include new control boxes with larger screens and proportional lowering for more precise positioning.

All PLUS series models include standard features such as theft-deterrent control box brackets, lockable battery disconnects, magnetic gate latches, larger forklift pockets, AGM maintenance-free batteries and MEC’s Leak Containment System.

MEC is also shipping its new MME30 vertical mast lift, designed for indoor maintenance and overhead work in tighter spaces. The model offers a 36-foot working height and a 32.5-inch overall width, allowing it to pass through a standard single doorway.

The MME30 includes a 350-pound platform capacity with a 20-inch platform extension and can drive while fully elevated, which MEC said is intended to reduce repeated lifting cycles during maintenance and installation work. Additional features include non-marking tires, steel construction components and maintenance-free batteries.

“For crews, these models mean working more seamlessly with less downtime and fewer interruptions,” Waller said. “For rental companies, it means increased utilization and less time spent dealing with preventable issues. We can’t wait to get these out in the field.”

MEC said contractors can request the new models through rental providers for upcoming projects.
