
Tadano has named Scott Walter vice president of sales for its Manitex Inc business, reinforcing its efforts to strengthen sales leadership and customer support following the integration of Manitex into the Tadano America organization.
The appointment is part of Tadano’s broader strategy to align operations and expand support capabilities across its lifting equipment portfolio in North America.

Scott has a long, proven track record of sales success and team member development. His wealth of industry experience is necessary for leading our sales teams in support of our customers’ lifting needs.”
Walter brings nearly three decades of sales experience and more than two decades of management experience to the role. His career includes senior leadership positions focused on business development, strategic accounts and global sales operations. Most recently, he served as vice president of strategic accounts for the OEM sector at Ritchie Bros. for 16 years.
In his new role, Walter will lead the Manitex sales organization, which includes Jeff Long, director of sales for boom trucks, bucket trucks and sign cranes, and Anthony Hampton, director of sales for knuckle boom cranes. Both leaders will continue to support customers across their respective product lines and report directly to Walter.
