May 6, 2020 - Kris Koberg, CEO of DICA, Guthrie Center, Iowa, has been named to serve a three-year term on the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association’s Crane & Rigging Group Safety Education & Training Committee.

Koberg’s nomination was approved on April 30 during the association’s web-based committee meeting.

One of the committee’s missions is monitoring events and recommending actions on safety related issues, including safety programs, legislation, regulations, and standards.

New ANSI A92 Standards Take Effect June 1

The new ANSI A92 standards will be published May 15 and take effect June 1, 2020.

The Scaffold & Access Industry Association announced on May 7 that the ANSI Board of Standards Review had made its final decision resolving two separately filed appeals.

The first was Tutus Solutions’ appeal of the approval of A92.20 and A92.22 as American National Standards.

The second was the American Rental Association’s appeal of A92.20, A92.22, and A92.24 as American National Standards.
